A TRAGIC EVENT
In early August, we sent out save-the-date postcards
for our 'festal gathering of innumerable angels' exhibit,
and planned to host a covid-compliant opening reception
with live music and socially distant merriment.
But just a few hours after the last cards were mailed
downtown Staunton was deluged with torrential rains.
Dixon Studio was completely flooded.
Floors, cabinets, art supplies, equipment,
and decades of original art work were ruined.
Decades of insurance premiums paid by the studio
were washed away in the fine print:
the contents coverage excludes water damage
and the flood insurance excludes contents coverage.
as is all studio production
until the building is cleaned and restored.
Please grace us with your prayers and patience.
We will check emails and phone messages daily
and/or send a note of encouragement to firstname.lastname@example.org
